Phylis E. Souza-Johnson

Phylis Souza-Johnson, a long-time resident of Chula Vista, Ca, died peacefully Sunday the 15th of January surrounded by family. Born November 19th, 1946 in Newport, RI. she relocated as a child with family to the San Diego area. Phylis worked many years as a property manager, retiring from Seapoint Properties in 2011. Phylis loved to spend quiet time in Coronado where she would sit and read by the bay on her favorite bench. She loved to shop for her family and browse the stores. She was always laughing, always fun to be around, generous, caring and thoughtful. Her smile lit up a room. She is survived by her husband Ronald Johnson, two children, Blandy Sapienza and Colleen Johnson, her mother Mary Heck, sister Dolores Estes, brother James 'Sunny' Souza, grandchildren Corey and Savannah, her great-grand daughter Paityn and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be missed by all, forever in our hearts.
