Raul Villalobos Guerrero

January 21, 1954 — April 12, 2025

Raul Villalobos Guerrero, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, partner and friend, was born on January 21, 1954, in Pecos, Texas, and returned home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 12, 2025.

At the age of 11, Raul moved to San Diego, California, with his parents and three siblings, where he would grow into a man whose life was marked by creativity, hard work, humor, and deep love for his family.

Raul was a true journeyman—gifted with his hands and a master of many trades. Over the years, he helped build homes, pools, waterfalls, and even contributed to the construction of Petco Park, San Diego’s baseball stadium. He also spent time in Los Angeles helping with the renovation of the Dodger Stadium, proudly leaving his mark on iconic places that brought joy to so many.

He had a natural gift for music. Raul could hear a song once and play the melody by ear on the keyboard, guitar or the harmonica. Music was more than a hobby—it was woven into the fabric of who he was. His creativity didn’t stop there—he was always inventing something, dreaming up ideas big and small, and approaching life with a spirit of curiosity and imagination.

Raul also had a love for fishing. He was happy with a rod in hand, soaking up the sun and waiting for the “big one” that may or may not have ever come. For him, it wasn’t about the catch—it was about the quiet, the company, and the chance to swap stories while casting a line off a pier.

Raul was known for his warmth and his unforgettable sense of humor. His jokes—often corny, always sincere—could light up a room and lift a heart. He was outgoing, friendly, and truly never met a stranger.

More than anything, Raul loved his family. He was a father and a proud grandfather, and the love he gave will continue to echo through generations. He is survived by his daughter, Julee; his sons, Reynaldo, Ruben, and Roman; his beloved granddaughter, Julianna; his sisters Janie and Delma; his brother Tony; his father, Domingo; many loving family members and friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Alcaria.

He is also survived by his loving fiancée, Carmen Borha, who shared in the later chapters of his life with joy and companionship.

His strength, love for music, laughter, and unwavering love will be forever cherished by all who knew him.
