Rex Paris moved to Southern California from Boston Massachusetts after graduating from MIT with a Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering and Williams College with a Master of Science in Physics. He received a Master of Arts in Human Resource Management from National University and Doctor of Divinity as an ordained minister from the Science of Mind College. Rex served in the Army as a First Lieutenant in the Chemical Corps in 1966.
He was a Professor of Physics at Southwestern College, Mesa College and Grossmont College. His textbook The “How To” Guide to Physics 101 helped almost 1000 students master the fundamentals of Physics over a twenty year career in teaching. His many academic certificates included a NLP Practitioner.
Rex was a lifelong learner who participated in a variety of human development and spiritual pursuits including EST, Landmark, Science of Mind, and Buddhist teachings at Dharma Bum Temple. He was a well known dancer and devotee of the Zydeco Dancing community.
Rex is survived by Meredith Kennedy, his life partner of sixteen years and her daughters Erin Elizabeth and Lani Marie, his sons Derek and Jeffrey and grandchildren Rutger, Alexandra and Nick.
A funeral service was held at Holy Cross Cemetery on Thursday September 28, 20023
