Richard Dana Williams Sr., the seventy-five year-old San Diegan, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend peacefully passed away early Thursday morning, at home, naturally and in the loving presence of his children and grandchildren.
Richard was known in the Point Loma Portuguese and fishing communities. He enjoyed helping out with grandchildren, watching soccer, attending his family's sporting events and reading about geneology and history. He had an unwavering wit and sense of humor until the end and he will forever be missed by his family.
He is survived by his sister, Cheryl Moreno, children: Richard Dana Williams, Jr., Rachel Ryan and Renee Carlino, and his grandchildren: Brooke, Luke, Giselle, Vanessa, Gregory, Sam, and Tony.
A Rosary will be held for Richard at 9:30 am at St. Agnes Cathlic Church in Point Loma on April 5, 2023, followed by a mass and funeral service. Following the service, family and friends are invited to join Richard's celebration of life lunch at The Parish Hall across the street.
