Robert (Bucky) was born in San Diego, Ca. He was the youngest of 4 children. He attended San Diego High School and San Diego State College, leaving college to enlist in the Army Air Corps to serve in World War 11.
Bucky was predeceased by Joy Curry, his loving wife of 63 years. He is survived by daughters Colleen (Tim) Haas and Maureen (Chuck) Schubert, along with 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Bucky enjoyed a long career in sales, starting in the airline industry and then many years with a local beer distributor.
He retired in 1988 and began a new career as a volunteer at the Nazareth House and San Diego Mission de Alcala.
Bucky was the most loving husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle and friend. He cherished his faith, family and friends. He was an inspiration to all who were blessed to know him. The joy and laughter he brought to us all will never be forgotten.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at Mission San Diego de Alcala at 10:30am on Wednesday, March 9th.
