Robert Ezekiel Estrada "Bob" was born in San Angelo, Texas on September 7th, 1936. Bob moved to San Diego in 1945 and later graduated from San Diego State University. He joined the Air Force in 1953, serving in Korea and Vietnam as an aircraft electrician. He earned medals for National Defense Service, United Nation Service, Good Conduct, and Korea Defense Service. He was honorably discharged in 1961 with a service related injury. He continued to serve the military in a civilian capacity following his discharge from active service. He also later served as a reserve officer (volunteer) with the San Diego Police Department.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents Ezequial and Rosa Estrada (Cantu), his son Bobby (1958-1973), his first wife, and mother of his children, Helen Marie, as well as his wife of 30 years, Joyce Estrada. Bob is survived by his children Jeanette, Rosemarie, and step children Pam, Karen, Doug and Mark. Grandchildren: Erica, Ryan, Derrick, Ashley, Kaitlin, Cory, Sarah, Bobby, Vanessa, Kayla. Great Grandchildren: Hailey, Ayden, Lorelei, Aeralyn, Ember, Rylie.
A memorial service will take place at Featheringill Mortuary in San Diego on November 20th, 2018 at 9:30am. A procession will follow to Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery where he will be interned with his late wife, Joyce.
