Ronald R Cain

Ronald R. Cain of San Diego, CA passed away on February 24, 2023, at the age of 78. 

He is survived by his son, Daniel (Kristin) Cain, grandchildren Savannah, Vincent, and Breydan, step-son Christopher Boetker, and brother Russell (Carla) and family.  Ronnie was preceded in death by his first son Timothy.

Ronnie was proud of his 2 tours to Vietnam as a Seabee in 1967 and 1968. Afterward, he found his favorite job at General Dynamics (Convair Division) and later General Atomics as union skilled labor working on projects from the Space Shuttle to advanced cruise missile. 

Ronnie was the life of any party or gathering. He was renowned as a story teller, captivating an audience of those that knew him or not. He didn’t know a stranger! A special note of thanks to his life-long friend Michael Weeks, who talked most everyday.

On March 31, the memorial service will start with mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church

Followed by internment ceremony at Miramar National Cemetery with everyone needing to be on site by 1:00 pm  for a 1:15pm start.

Ronnie’s wishes were to be remembered with his family and friends at the American Legion Post 731.  Please join us and share your favorite memories of Ronnie.This will take place the following day April 1st.
