Thomas William Jackson

Thomas W. Jackson, Sr., 81 of San Diego, passed away Friday, September 22, 2017 of health complications and Pneumonia.

Thomas was born May 20, 1936 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and was a long time San Diego resident of 54 years. He was a retired Gunnery Sergeant after serving a total of 30 years with the United States Marine Corp. He then pursued an education and graduated from San Diego State University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education. Tom also retired from San Diego Gas and Electric after working twelve years as a security guard.

Tom loved spending time with his family, going camping at the beach and traveling all over the states with his wife Mary.

Tom leaves behind his beloved wife of 59 ½ years, Mary, his four children, Ron Sr., Tom Jr., Laura, Scott Sr. (deceased), his nine grandchildren, Ron Jr., Tiffany, Alison, Brandon, Scott Jr., Briana, Sara, Corey, Courtney and his two great grandchildren, Cameron and Addyson.
