Thomas Robert Manderfeld, 84 of San Diego, California passed away peacefully Wednesday April 6th in the company of his family listening to his favorite choir music. Born in St. Paul, Minnesota to Robert and Teresa Manderfeld he lived most of his adult life in San Diego, California.
Thomas served in the US Navy during the Korean War as a corpsman at the Naval Hospital San Diego. While in the Service he met his wife Adeline and decided to make a home in San Diego. He worked as an EMT, Purchasing Agent and eventually owned his own Bookkeeping business with his wife. Thomas was active in his church, Mission San Diego where he at one time he managed the Alter Servers. He was a big fan of Westerns especially old episodes of Gunsmoke and a Civil War buff often attending reenactments in later years. He loved sports, especially Hockey and Baseball, closely following the San Diego Padres team.
Thomas was extremely loving and proud of his four children Robert, Denise, Jeannine and Paul. He is also survived by wife Adeline as well as his 7 grandchildren, Evan, Sarah, Adam, Joshua, Elise, Araceli, Charity and Daughter-in-law Cindy and Sons-in-law David and Kevin as well as loving nieces, nephews and many friends. He goes now to join his younger brother, Frank and sister, Betty in Heaven. Thomas will be buried at Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego.
