It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William Charles Glass , a retired veteran who devoted 21 years of his life to serving his country in the military.
William was born on January 11 1951 in Newton Kansas. He grew up as a patriotic young man with a strong sense of duty and honor. He enlisted in the military and began his journey of service to his country.
Throughout his 21-year career, William served with distinction and dedication. He was deployed to various parts of the world, including Okinawa , where he carried out his duties with excellence and professionalism. His devotion to his country and his fellow soldiers was unwavering, and he was highly respected and admired by all who served with him. Winning an expert rifle award even once is a significant achievement, but to win it seven times is truly remarkable. Such a feat requires a combination of natural talent, intense dedication, and a deep understanding of the mechanics of marksmanship.
Upon his retirement from the military, William settled down in California and became an active member of the local community. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and he instilled in his family the same values of patriotism, duty, and honor that guided his life.
William's passing is a great loss to his family and friends. However, his legacy of service and sacrifice will live on, inspiring future generations to follow in his footsteps and serve their country with the same spirit of dedication and honor that he embodied.
We find comfort in knowing that he will always be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family and friends.
May he rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
In Loving Memory William C. Glass
